What's Kept Me Smiling #4

This week has involved more sickness for me. I bloody hate Winter (shh, it is Winter now), I seem to get everything that goes around. But on the plus side, there's less than a month to Christmas! Are you excited? I'm starting to get a little excited! Here are the things that made me smile this week!

Christmas tree

My Mini-Bestie Singing

My best friend has a wonderful wee girl, Minnie (that's my nickname for her, as she is my mini-bestie), and he sent me a video of her earlier in the week. She was watching The Little Mermaid and singing along. Knowing how much I love The Little Mermaid, and how adorable I think his daughter is, he rewound the movie a little and pointed his camera at Minnie as she was singing, and then sent it on to me. It might just be the CUTEST thing I have ever seen, watching her really belt it out as she sings "part of your WOOOOORLD", completely unselfconsciously! She is a wonder! It completely melted my heart! And how awesome of my best mate to record her for me? He's the best!

Holidays Are Coming!

I have finally seen the Coca-Cola Christmas advert! As far as I'm concerned, Christmas isn't really on it's way until I've seen this advert. I don't know what it is about it, but I just love it! Though it's not my favourite, I'm sure they used to have a different one, or a longer one, where there was more from Father Christmas - he taps the boy on the shoulder at the end, and he gives Father Christmas his coke. I can't find it online, but I like that version! We make a big deal each year about what adverts various shops will put out for Chrismas, and although Coca-Cola don't make a new one, I kind of like that. It feels like a tradition, and I love it!

I've Bought My Advent Calendar

Yup, I now have my Dairy Milk advent calendar, already for next week. I don't care that I'm almost 30, advent calendars are a part of Christmas and they're required. It's part of the excitement, counting down until the big day, and I love it. They don't make them with a huge chocolate for Christmas day now, though, do they? Pfft!

Those Fantastic Beasts

I saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Tuesday, and oh my god, it was SO good! I loved it! So much more than I expected! Eddie Redmayne is brilliant as Newt Scamandar, and I loved the story! I was worried that it might be a little on the young side, a little too slapstick, but it was great! I love what I believe is going to be the over-arching story connecting all the films, and I'm excited for what's to come. I hate that Johnny Depp has a part, but I'm still going to watch these movies! I just wish there were books, too!

The Christmas Shopping Has Started

I went out on Wednesday to try and get some inspiration for people's Christmas presents, because I have no clue this year! I have managed to get a present for one person sorted, and I know what I'm getting Minnie now, a few ideas for others, but I really have to get my skates on. The one present I've bought, though, I'm really excited about. Really hope the giftee likes it!

So that's what made me smile this week! What kept you happy over the last seven days?
